My name is Constantine Stathakis, though most people simply call me Con. I'm a master tailor with over five decades of experience, and while I recently closed the doors on my much-loved Cremorne shop, my passion for the craft hasn’t faded a bit.

Now based in Ashfield, I’ve brought my tools, talent, and love for tailoring home – quite literally – where I continue to serve clients across the Inner West of Sydney with the same precision, care, and old-world service that has defined my career.

But to understand what I do, you have to understand where I came from.

From Athens to Ashfield – A Journey Sewn with Care

I was born in Greece, where the art of tailoring is not just a profession, but a tradition passed through generations. As a young man, I learned the craft the way it used to be taught – slowly, meticulously, by watching the old masters shape garments by hand, guided only by chalk, shears, and instinct.

When I migrated to Australia, I brought that tradition with me. I opened my first tailoring shop on the North Shore, where I built a reputation for exceptional quality, personal service, and a deep respect for the garments I worked on. Over the years, I became the trusted tailor for hundreds of people from young professionals in their first suits to brides, business leaders, and generations of families.

I’ve hemmed ballgowns the night before an event, rescued vintage coats, restructured bespoke suits, and restored cherished garments others wouldn't dare touch.

Every stitch has a story. And every customer is part of mine.
